Over in jolly ol’ England it seems they are having a problem. A pandemic even. The cause of this dire situation? Drugs. And the chief drug of concern? Marijuana. That’s right you heard it here first ! Accord to the article Gordon Brown is asking the British Parliament to review the classification of cannabis as a Class C drug and have it reclassified as a Class B drug.

Problem is that it doesn’t need to be reclassified back up to a Class B narcotic. It was dropped from class B to C in order to help the UK police free up resources to combat other drugs which actually are more hostile. Methadone, crank, speed, are a few examples. But now Gordon Brown, Prime Minster of the UK wants to reclassify it. I’m just a casual observer on the outside peering in, but it seems to me like he should have better things to concern himself with. For example terrorism comes to mind for some reason. Guess that’s just because of the recent terror attacks that the UK has had to endure?

Fact of the matter is simply that marijuana should be legalized, but it must not be. Should be because it is a waste of resources to try and go after it and must not be because it would be just one more thing for a government to tax.
