Things online I’m starting to hate
I’d just like to give a hearty and heart-felt FU to a few things online. Things that once seemed like Good Ideas ™ but have quickly worn out their welcome. At least for me.
- Who couldn’t love Twitter? I mean text messaging 24/7 from the comfort of your own computer. What a brilliant idea! Oh wait, that’s right. Twitter was made for people who were too stupid to install chat programs. And yes I have a twitter page (2 actually), but yeah it’s still lame. And spam, can you say “spam”? I get less spam in a 4 year old hotmail account.
- Wikipedia
- Is there anything that isn’t on Wikipedia? Why don’t we just take down the rest of the internet with the exception of Google (gotta keep wikipedia indexed and searchable somehow, not to mention email) and let wikipedia run the show? If it exists it’s on wikipedia. If it isn’t on wikipedia it’s not worth knowing about
- I suppose it has some redeeming qualities, but I’m hard pressed to find them. Especially now that I often confuse it with myspace….
- Myspace
- Was this ever a good idea? Who thought it made sense to let old men stalk little girls in the first place?
Oh and if you need to get a hold of me you can find me on Twitter (link to the right).
