I started on this blogging journey about 4 days ago and like most things I simply dove in without a plan of attack, nor even a thought to what I was doing. Note to self As always blindly jumping in does not work. Not even on a blog. I’ve quickly come to realize that a few changes have to be made almost immediately if I intend for this great experiment (monetizing a blog to capitalize on the internet) to work.

First things first get rid of the cool black theme. It was screaming emo

Next step is has been to define exactly what this blog is about. Originally I envisioned it talking about technology, but… BORING! There’s to much happening in the world to simply talk about one single subject. With that in mind I’ve decided to talk about everything and anything that happens to catch my attention. Pretty cool, huh?

To reflect the change in theme and editorial direction I also thought it important to rename this blog from The Common Man’s Tech – Technology in plain English to A Blog about nothing – This really is a blog about nothing..

Next I’m going to go through all of the ads I was just haphazardly throwing onto the site and start working them in with the theme and trying to make an actual effort to effectively place them where people might be enticed to click on them.

How’s that for an introduction to the world of blogging? If I wasn’t me I’d have given up by now!
