Interview: Bryan Clark of One Man’s Goal Part 1
A few weeks ago I sent an email to Bryan Clark of One Man’s Goal asking him if he’d like to do a short interview. He agreed and this is a result of that. I’ve broken the entire thing into 3 parts as I wanted to get a little more out of it than a simple question and answer session.
You’ll also notice that I’ve asked you the reader for comments with a mini-interview of sorts. If you would take the time to answer the questions I believe your insight would be greatly appreciated by everyone who is reading this blog, myself included. So without further delay let’s get started.
- Question: We all know a little bit about Bryan Clark the person, and we also know what has led up to this desire to make money online, but why did you choose blogging as the vehicle to reach your goal?
-
It was opportunity meets availability. I had recently lost my job and was looking for a way to get out of the daily grind. I love to write so it just seemed natural to start a blog. Especially after reading about how much money some bloggers are making.
Question to the reader: If you’re using your blog to earn a living or are working towards that goal why did you decide blogging would be an appropriate means? If you’re not blogging to earn a living why are you blogging?
- Question: What is the one thing you regret doing most of all when you started this blogging project?
-
Starting on a free blog. My original blog was hosted for about a week at blogger.com - I made the switch before I really lost anything, but I wish I would have started with a domain. It was like starting over when I had moved. I had 60 or so daily readers that never made the journey to the new site.
Question to the readers: What one thing do you regret most of all from when you first started blogging?
- Question: Would you mind listing 5 mistakes you’ve made with your blog and what steps if any have you taken to corrected them?
-
If this sounds conceded I apologize. But I’m not aware of any real mistakes I’ve made so far. I research every move extensively so there doesn’t leave a whole lot of room for error. I’m sure I’ve made mistakes, but none have become blaringly apparent so far.
Question to the reader: Can you list some mistakes you’ve made with your blog and steps you’ve taken to correct them?
Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 of this interview!
