I’d just like to give a hearty and heart-felt FU to a few things online. Things that once seemed like Good Ideas ™ but have quickly worn out their welcome. At least for me.

Twitter

Who couldn’t love Twitter? I mean text messaging 24/7 from the comfort of your own computer. What a brilliant idea! Oh wait, that’s right. Twitter was made for people who were too stupid to install chat programs. And yes I have a twitter page (2 actually), but yeah it’s still lame. And spam, can you say “spam”? I get less spam in a 4 year old hotmail account.

Wikipedia

Is there anything that isn’t on Wikipedia? Why don’t we just take down the rest of the internet with the exception of Google (gotta keep wikipedia indexed and searchable somehow, not to mention email) and let wikipedia run the show? If it exists it’s on wikipedia. If it isn’t on wikipedia it’s not worth knowing about

Facebook

I suppose it has some redeeming qualities, but I’m hard pressed to find them. Especially now that I often confuse it with myspace….

Myspace

Was this ever a good idea? Who thought it made sense to let old men stalk little girls in the first place?

Oh and if you need to get a hold of me you can find me on Twitter (link to the right).

Sometimes life gets in the way and a bunch of other projects come up.

There’s work.

More Work
And yet even more work.
Then there are snakes, and pet lizards.

But I feel like enjoying writing again so I’ll probably work at this one some as well.

Oh boy, aren’t you excited?

The End.
Told you it would be short.

YouTube is a huge site with millions of videos. Here are 5 channels that you should tune into on a regular basis.

Today I was watching some YouTube videos in preparation for another article that I am writing and decided to share five of my favorites with readers. I chose them based on the following:

Plentiful – A good video is one thing, but week after week and day after day is an accomplishment

Longevity – Is it applicable several weeks, months, and years down the line?

Quality – Anyone can make a video and throw it up on YouTube, but quality separates the “men from the boys”

Entertaining – Let’s face it we all watch YouTube to be entertained

Without further ado here are the 5 YouTube channels everyone should watch

Fail Blog

A comedic look at epic failures caught on video. They also have a blog (who doesn’t these days)which showcases Fail, Owned and Pwn moments in pictures and videos, and lets you share your own. From the creators of I Can Has Cheez Burger so you know it has to be good!

Expert Village

This channel is all about teaching the audience. They present the content in an easy to understand manner and even if you can’t do some of the things they tell you about you’ll be able to understand them. For instance my mom had been asking me for weeks how to use Facebook and after failing miserably to explain it to her I showed her a video from Expert Village and she got it. Which is the closest thing to a miracle I’ve ever personally witnessed.

National Geographic

The name National Geographic is synonymous with quality educational material. Know for their in depth expose’ of the world we live in, and beyond. Their videos are always high quality (they have a big budget), and entertaining.

SnakeBytesTV

Brian Barczyk owner of BHB Reptiles (one of the largest snake breeding operations in the world) has gained quite a following on YouTube. Every Wednesday thousands of people tune in for the latest episode of he and his crew in their fun and informative videos about snakes and sometimes other reptiles. The videos are a good mix of information, comedy, and education. As you see in the video below the videos aren’t only about snakes.

Barely Political

Barely Political is, as you might have guessed, a channel about politics. It takes a humorous and often irreverent look at the current political offerings. I didn’t have time to watch very many of their videos while doing my research, but they seem centered around American politics.
