Livable income blogging is closer
A while back I decided (again) to make an effort to remonetize this blog and make a few other changes to it. One thing I decided to do was put Kontera in-text ads back into the mix. The other thing I did was put adsense back in place. Finally I reenabled Bidvertiser which is currently offering $20.00 in free clicks! Place your ad on thousands of sites with BidVertiser. Much to my surprise Kontera has really started to pick up over the past 2 weeks. I had it running before but disabled it due to a lot of people complaining it is intrusive. No one seems to mind it this time around AND it is actually making me a few dollars. Nothing to get excited about, but 3 or 4 clicks a day on average is a lot better than the 1 click per month I was getting out of it before. Of course this will naturally grow as my traffic continues to increase.
Adsense as well has started picking up the pace for me. I’m still a long, long way off from that covented $100.00 level, but I’m way ahead of where I was before I reenabled it. I think placement also has a lot to do with it.
Finally we come to Bidvertiser. Let’s just say I’m terribly disappointed in this program. Out of nearly 17,000 impressions I’ve managed to get a grand total of ZERO clicks. I’ll be doing some tweaking before yanking it of course. As I mentioned before they are offering $20.00 in free clicks which might be something worth investigating if for nothing else the free advertising. I will continue to tweak and test ads on the site. I’m also thinking to actually start making serious money I’ll need to stop messing with Adsense, Kontera, and all the rest and sell direct to advertisers.
