Blog Rush Phase 2 rolling out!

Do you remember Blog Rush? In case you don’t it’s the much anticipated link sharing network that was recently released by John Reese to nothing short of amazing amounts of fanfare. One problem (well actually many problems, but one major problem), it didn’t live up to the hype. So Mr. Reese went back to the drawing board and he and his team began to rework it. Before I go any further I have to give John Reese major props for not only recognizing the problems, but also taking action on them almost immediately, because most people would have just said “tough shit, deal with it”.

I won’t get into all of the details of the new release because you can take a look at Phase 2 of Blog Rush on the income.com blog where everything is laid out for all to see. I did however want to touch on all the new things we can expect and take a look at one thing in particular. So what’s new in Blog Rush?

• New User Interface
• Per Post Statistics & Addition Of “Buzz Meter”
• Custom Reports
• Bonus Syndication For All Users, But Weighted Towards Low-Traffic Members
• More Categories
• Improved Security & Abuse Measures
• 100% Manual Review & New Quality Guidelines
• Widget Performance Monitoring

It’s the “Widget Performance Monitoring” that I’d like to address here. Actually I’ll just copy and paste it here for you to read.

It seems that Mr. Reese has decided to address this problem as many of us had hoped he would. Though I am concerned about there being no apparent warning regarding being removed from the network if you have a poorly performing widget. I know he says that is being considered, but it seems like it would be a no brainer doesn’t it?

So what do you think of these changes? Personally I think they are great for the most part, but like I said I do have some concerns about just being arbitrarily removed without warning regarding performance. Anyhow would love to hear your comments on this!
